Balcony railings in Sidmouth - lots of work, but the end result was definitely worth it!
Pansies for a fathers day gift - pleasure to create these!
Stunning simple wiggly railings designed for growing things along to act as subtle screen.
Stunning location for this pair of side gates in Sidmouth.
Paired with a run of organic railings to the left side.
All untreated and soon to weather nicely in the sea air.
6mm thick raised bed edging installed on Dartmoor. Site was sloping which adds an extra element of complexity to installtion!
This fruit cage install is on the edge of Dartmoor in the most incredible garden.
Constructed entirely from untreated steel and welded together on site it will mellow down with a lovely rusty patina.
It has 8 hinged and removable panels for easy access. Quite an involved commission, but well worth the effort!!
This delightful customer in Exmouth wanted to improve the timber gate and fencing with a traditional iron gate, with a bit of added security.
We managed to produce a very high quality (and very heavy) gate and matching side panels, which were then powder coated and fitted with a visually pleasing but very strong Locinox handle.
A little more formal than my usual work, but these plain black powder coated railings really finishes the back of this beautiful house in Exmouth perfectly. Some houses just do not need anything too creative to enhance them!
4.8m wide double gate install in Sidmouth
Freshly galvanised, hence the very bright finish-will dull to a lovely grey in time, particularly in the Sidmouth sea air.
Can you spot all the animals….?
Boxing Hares
7ft Boxing Hares created from 10mm round bar
Trellis for a beautiful cottage in our home village of Yettington.
Fabricated from 16mm and 12mm solid round bar with 12 wall mounting plates -it’s suitably substantial!
A fantastic opportunity for me to get creative, thank you to the customer for giving me a relatively free reign on the design. Copper leaves with steel framework, all steel will weather evenly in time.
Note the auto gate closer using an adapted cannon ball doorstop.
A custom Pond Cover for a local customer who sadly is unable to have her pond open due to gulls eating everything!
Made from 16mm and 12mm round bar and removable 50mm x 50mm 12g mesh. It will all rust and blend with the greenery in time.
Golf Society Trophy
Beautifully quirky commission for the Weavers and Fullers golf society! Having been given the wooden shuttle and a few pictures, this is what I came up with!
Fire basket with base
700mm square and fabricated from 12mm square bar makes this a rather heavy and substantial fire basket. Despite the weight the design is remarkably delicate!
Cast iron wash pot upcycling
A customer gave me a very old wash pot which, with a round base is rather difficult to utilise! Brief was an organic framework to support the pot and let the chosen plant to climb and infill.
Bespoke bird feeder for the very keen twitcher!
